Once upon a time, there was an immense and beautiful beach that, on that night, would witness an unparalleled astronomical event. The particularity that this paradisiacal setting had was that it possessed a view of the cosmos and the stars of absolute clarity, as if the sky opened wide over the sand.

That night, the Moon would be at full moon, but it would have the particularity of being in conjunction with other planets. Thus, as evening fell, the event coincided exactly with the ebbing tide, leaving a plain of wet and smooth sand that served as a mirror to the firmament.
Once the sun set, the artists began to appear with their easels, their canvases, and their brushes. Among them, walking with a firm step on the wet sand, were Picasso, Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh, along with hundreds of other masters who began to sit in front of the sea. The entire low tide was filled with artists, women and men, who tried to capture what was going to take place. After that, they all settled in and began to paint with total dedication.

They spent the whole night painting, capturing the light of the planets and the brightness of the Moon. However, when the first lights of the Sun came out, everyone suddenly disappeared, as if carried away by the mist.

The curious and mysterious thing was that the paintings had remained on the beach; only the artists had disappeared. A couple who were walking along the beach, cultured people, saw that and approached surprised by the easels, for there were hundreds of them. Looking closely, they checked with amazement that the newly finished paintings bore the unmistakable signatures and strokes of those they had just seen arrive: there were the brushstrokes of fire of Van Gogh, the broken forms of Picasso, and the atmospheres of Monet.

But, what happened to the artists? Why did those who were once in life disappear, return to paint, and leave again? The mystery was revealed in one last sentence. Before vanishing, one of them said:

"We return to the past, to our time, which is the same time we are seeing from the stars."
For this reason, this story is titled "The painters of the future."

Final note:

A doubt remains, however, in the air: Who really lives in the past? The painters who inhabit all dimensions at once, or us, who remain here looking at only one face of the polyhedron? But, in reality, the most mysterious question of all is: why did they decide to make themselves visible precisely that night... or perhaps they never left? And who knows if the canvases were not portals of light with the spirit of the artist... May imagination accompany you.
